MCA Suite announces ACHWorks integration changes

Current clients using MCA Suite to initiate daily debits (and credits) on ACHWorks will see the following changes on the Deal Tracking and ACHWorks pages:

1.  The date shown on the deal tracking page will be identical to ACHWorks hit/effective date, as opposed to when MCA Suite sent the transaction to ACHWorks. The reason for the date discrepancy is that MCA Suite has been showing the date it sent transactions to ACHWorks, and ACHWorks’ reports show the date when ACHWorks hits the customers bank, which is always the next banking day.

Prior to the change, MCA Suite displayed the date it sent the transactions to ACHWorks (e.g., Monday, June 16, 2014). Since MCA Suite sends transactions to ACHWorks during off business hours (at around 6pm eastern on June 16, 2014), the ACH Network does not process transactions on the same day and will process the transactions the following business day (Tuesday, June 17, 2014). The result is our clients are seeing the same transaction ID with different dates.

2.  To maintain a record that MCA Suite has sent the scheduled transactions to ACHWorks, clients can go to the ACHWorks Payment Gateway page to view when the transaction has been sent to ACHWorks (sent date) and the hit/effective date.

In addition, clients can set up notifications via email from MCA Suite to receive confirmation that the scheduled transactions have been sent or if any failed.

These changes will not impact past transactions nor the status of transactions.  On the Deal Tracking page, it may appear like a whole day (6/17/2014) was skipped, but that is not the case: the Deal Tracking page will just be using the new hit date (one day forward).
